The Midwest and Our Visit “Home”

One month ago, Chris and I found ourselves halfway into our trip, waiting for the Independence Day fireworks over the Sound in Tacoma, WA. All at once, and despite having so many fun adventures this year, we missed being home more than ever. At that moment, “home” meant being near friends and family. And making memories with familiar faces rather than being ever-exposed to new people, new towns, new grocery stores… It was time for us to take a break.

The Maiden Voyage

We can’t wait to hit the road, but we know we’d feel way more prepared with a little practice behind the wheel.

We’ve gotten pretty acquainted with our new motor home over the last couple weeks (although, we still haven’t decided on a name for her yet!). We spent an entire day last week cleaning it out and getting it organized. She might be over 15 years old, but she’s just what we were looking for.
